ROAD CLOSURE: US 165 South in Morehouse Parish will experience closure from Friday, August 23rd to Monday, August 26th

MOREHOUSE PARISH, La. (KTVE/KARD) — The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises drivers that US 165 S. (East Madison Avenue) in Morehouse Parish at the railroad grade crossing will be closed to all traffic starting at 8 p.m., Friday, August 23, 2024, until 6 a.m. Monday, August 26, 2024, for crossing repairs and maintenance.

The detour routes during the closure will be LA 830-4, LA 830-3, and US 425. DOTD appreciates drivers’ patience while work is being done and reminds them to look out for work crews and equipment.

Also, as a reminder, DOTD wants to let everyone know that it is unsafe and unlawful to drive onto a closed barricade at any time for any reason.
