Monroe detective gives more details about domestic dispute near local bowling alley

UPDATE: Detective James Schmitz with the Monroe Police Department informed KTVE/KARD that the individuals involved in the incident are believed to be Kansas residents who know each other.

According to Detective Schmitz, the altercation began inside the vehicle out of town. It continued and reached the location near Bayou Bowl, where it escalated to outside the vehicle.

One female was struck with a vehicle. She is now at an area hospital where she’s receiving treatment. There are multiple people in custody and detectives right now are still on the scene going through video and trying to determine what happened.

The injuries of the female involved are considered serious. As of now, there are no updates on her medical status.

MONROE, La. (KTVE/KARD) — On Friday, August 30, 2024, authorities were called to a domestic dispute on Horseshoe Lake Road in Monroe, La. near Bayou Bowl. Upon arrival, officials learned that three people were involved in the dispute and one person was injured. The injured subject has been transported to a nearby hospital.

Authorities are at the scene and investigating the incident. No further information has been released.
