ROAD CLOSURE: LA 499 near Chatham in Jackson Parish will be closed from Friday, Sept. 13th to Sunday, Sept. 15th, for cross drainpipe replacement

JACKSON PARISH, La. (KTVE/KARD) — According to the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development, LA 499 near Chatham in Jackson Parish will be closed from Friday, September 13, 2024, to Sunday, September 15, 2024, to replace a cross drainpipe.

All vehicles must detour, and signs will be posted along the roadway. All work will be done weather permitting.

DOTD appreciates drivers’ patience while work is being done and reminds drivers to be careful when driving through construction areas. Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
