UPDATE :
Aimee Gill, Director of Public and Community Relations for Healthcare Systems of America spoke a little bit about assuming operations at Glenwood Regional.
We are awaiting a signed order from the bankruptcy judge, stating that, Healthcare systems of America will be assuming the operations, and then we’ll be the interim manager, and then eventually assume full ownership.

Glenwood Regional Medical Center was not sold today, only the operations were taken over by the HSA. There is still a transition period as bankruptcy hearing still continue, and they await signing of some documents and licenses.
Today was definitely not the final order from the bankruptcy judge, however this is the interim order that will be in place to then, for the party to come back, once all of the regulatory licensing and everything is put in place to have a final sale order.

Although they are assuming operations and may change things to help things run smoother, Aimee stressed that they want to keep the jobs there and that the friendly faces will still be there. They want to make the hospital run better for the workers there and the community surrounding the area.
Our goal at HSA is to keep the jobs there within the hospital, to make a strong local community hospital that is able to run on it’s own, and then also to provide stability and trust in the community there for Glenwood Regional.
