NBC 10 News First at 4: El Dorado’s Paint the Town Pink

El Dorado, Ark. (KTVE/KARD) — Residents are preparing to paint the town pink at El Dorado’s 12th annual event.

The event supports the Team Corrie Cancer Foundation and allows Union County cancer warriors to receive grants to help offset medical expenses. We spoke with a leader of the movement, Kristi Lowery, who is a five-time cancer survivor herself. Lowery says that in the twelve years of this event more than $300,000 dollars has been raised and given to Union County cancer warriors to help with their expenses.

The event will take place on September 28th at 8 A.M. in Downtown El Dorado. The sign-up fee is $35.00 to register for the 5K color run/walk.
