LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) — A second teen has been arrested in connection with the deadly shooting at a Lafayette barbershop in late August, the Lafayette Police Department announced.

The second suspect is 17-year-old Shylon Mouton of Lafayette. Police said Mouton was taken into custody Tuesday evening and booked into the Lafayette Parish correctional center.

Mouton and 17-year-old Jeffery Brous sard , who was arrested Friday, are both facing two counts of first-degree murder in connection with the deaths of 19-year-old Quincy Duhon Jr. and 48-year-old Johnny Trailer Jr.

The shooting occurred around 9 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 31, at a barbershop on Louisiana Avenue between Mudd Avenue and Simcoe Street.

Responding officers found two victims at the scene. Duhon was taken to an area hospital for treatment. Trailer was pronounced dead at the scene.

Duhon died from his injuries days later.
