LOUISIANA, (KTVE/KARD)– The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries announced to the public that alligator hunting season remains open statewide. According to officials, the state’s East Zone will close October 26, 2024, and the West Zone November 2, 2024.

Louisiana residents will be able to hunt alligators on private lands and lakes they either own or have permission to hunt or public lands and lakes with access granted via bidding or lottery. Also, you must have a valid alligator hunting license and alligator harvest tags.
