Crossett has popular events and Hurricane Relief events coming soon

EL DORADO, Ark. (KTVE/KARD) — Crossett is the town to be in real soon. Event in Crossett are starting to pick up. A couple of annual events are happening this weekend, and the city is hoping that you will come attend.

Actually, this weekend we have the 46th annual Wiggins Cabin Festival where you can still purchase your slots for vendors or food crafters. And with that, we also have the Dragon Boat races, which this is the third year of them. So, it’s starting to become an annual tradition.

The city also has a plan to help out people who were affected by the recent hurricane. Every little bit helps and can aid those in need.

City’s going to get together with the fire department and the Ashley County Emergency Management system, and we’re going to try and start collecting donations for the hurricane relief victims and those in need. It’ll be donations can be accepted over Atwood’s parking lot on October 19th, starting at 8 a.m. I know a lot of the churches are going to be part of it, and they’re going to come in and get involved, and we’re just asking the community as a whole to get together and help benefit those in need.
