    UPDATE: Monroe PD search for rape, kidnapping suspect suspended

    UPDATE: (10/10/24) — According to the Monroe Police Department, the search for Ricky Wayne Knotts has been suspended. The suspect was not taken into custody, and MPD officials are asking the public to continue be on the lookout for Knotts and call MPD if he’s seen.


    MONROE, La. ( KTVE/KARD ) — On Thursday, October 10, 2024, officers of the Monroe Police Department attempted to apprehend Ricky Wayne Knotts who is wanted for First-Degree Rape and Second-Degree Kidnapping. According to authorities, Knotts allegedly resisted officers and fled into a wooded area north of the Forsythe Boat Dock.
