3 Locations tested positive for West Nile virus in Ouachita Parish

OUACHITA PARISH, La. ( KTVE/KARD )- The Department of Health and Hospitals discovered four mosquito pools, representing four locations that tested positive for West Nile Virus in the Ouachita Parish area. According to officials, they were collected on October 8, 2024.

Located in follow area:

West Monroe: Near Hidden Lakes Subdivision (1), Near Smith Street (1)
Western Ouachita Parish: Near the intersection of I-20 and Highway 80 (1)
Monroe: Near Buckhorn Bend Loop (1)

Most areas have been treated and others will be treated tonight on October 18, 2024.
