    Fresno police uncover stolen catalytic converters in automotive shop raid

    FRESNO, California — Fresno police arrested two individuals following the discovery of stolen catalytic converters at an automotive shop.On Wednesday, August 7, 2024, Central District ORT detectives were contacted by Harbor Freight at 1349 North Blackstone Avenue regarding a theft, according to the Fresno Police Department. Detectives located the suspect, who admitted to selling the stolen merchandise to an automotive business. A search warrant was served at the shop, leading to the discovery of a large quantity of catalytic converters believed to be stolen, as well as other stolen tools.The initial suspect was arrested for petty theft, and the shop owner was arrested for possession of stolen goods. The catalytic converters and stolen tools were booked into evidence, stated the Fresno Police Department.
