    Masked suspects crash vehicles into Tulare County businesses in string of burglaries

    TULARE COUNTY, California — A series of burglaries involving masked suspects crashing stolen vehicles into storefronts has led to multiple arrests, according to the Tulare County Sheriff's Office.In the early morning hours of July 30, 2024, deputies were called to the AKal Travel Plaza in Delano, La Princesa Bakery in Richgrove, and Cesis Cafe in Alpaugh. Four suspects, one armed with a handgun, stole vehicles and used them to crash into the businesses, stealing cash and other items. The stolen vehicles were later found burned in Kern County.Dencio Cantorna Jr., a 20-year-old from Delano, and a 14-year-old boy, also from Delano, were arrested in connection with the burglaries. On August 28, 2024, deputies responded to a burglar alarm at the Tipton Dollar General, where suspects had used a vehicle to ram through the doors. While investigating, deputies received another call about a burglary alarm at the Earlimart Valero, finding similar damage.Video surveillance from both locations showed two suspects rummaging through the stores for cash. The same 14-year-old suspect, previously released to his mother from the Tulare County Juvenile Detention Facility, was identified as the driver of the stolen vehicles. He was arrested again for multiple charges, including burglary, conspiracy, vehicle theft, and arson.Other suspects remain at large.
