Aptos man dies in rollover crash on State Route 1

SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, California — A 44-year-old man from Aptos was killed in a rollover crash on State Route 1 late Friday night, according to the California Highway Patrol. The incident occurred around 11:50 p.m. when the man's 2019 Toyota Land Cruiser veered off the road and struck a dirt embankment.The vehicle rolled over onto the right lane of the southbound highway, ejecting the driver, who sustained major injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene, stated the California Highway Patrol.
