    South Burlington wins VT American Legion baseball title

    The South Burlington Wildcats and Manchester Union Underground faced off on Thursday afternoon in the American Legion championship game for Vermont. The Wildcats continued their undefeated streak through the tournament riding a seven run fourth inning to beat Manchester 7-3. In that run scoring inning, South Burlington executed their “small ball” game plan to perfection laying down four successful bunts.

    The win marks South Burlington’s first American Legion title since 2007 and third overall.
