A western Massachusetts man is due in court in Barre Monday afternoon after being arrested for second-degree murder.

Fabrice Rumama , 20, of Springfield, Mass. is charged in connection with the deadly shooting in Waterbury from earlier this week. He’s being held without bail at Northeast Regional Correctional in St. Johnsbury.

Troopers arrested Rumama in the overnight hours of Saturday morning at the Kneeland Flats Trailer Park in Waterbury. That’s the same trailer park where he’s accused of shooting and killing Shawn Spiker, 34, of Croydon, New Hampshire shortly before 1:00 a.m. Monday.

Michael Perry, 57, of Waterbury was shot and wounded in the same incident. At last report, he was recovering from his injuries at University of Vermont Medical Center. No one has been charged yet in connection with Perry’s shooting.
