Vice Presidential candidate Tim Walz is making multiple campaign stops in central Pa. with Senator John Fetterman this week, according to a Tuesday night announcement. The Minnesota Governor’s bus tour will start in Dauphin County on Wednesday, Oct. 2 before stopping in York and Reading. The campaign events come just one day after Tuesday night’s vice presidential debate, hosted in New York.

Nonprofit opens retail shop in Dauphin County
A nonprofit in Dauphin County has opened a new retail shop. Hope Within Ministries has opened The Trove at 4748 East Harrisburg Pike in Londonderry Township, near Elizabethtown. The store sells gently-used home décor, repurposed furniture and other items. The Trove also features productions by local artisans in its “Creative Corner”. The store opened in August.

Penn Manor School board plans to vote in October on two policies recommended by the religious rights law firm Independence Law Center – limiting student-athlete participation to sports teams aligning with their sex at birth and recognizing a student’s “unofficial name” and preferred pronouns – after the policies cleared a first hurdle Monday night.
