TAMPA, Florida — The City of Tampa's Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) has announced the launch of the Housing Rehabilitation & Renovation Program (HRRP), aimed at providing financial assistance for home repairs within the city's CRA Districts.

The program will cover essential repairs such as roof system repair or replacement, plumbing, electrical systems, structural systems, heating and air conditioning, exterior deterioration, window replacement, tree trimming, and ADA improvements. Both renters and homeowners earning up to 140% of the Area Median Income (AMI) are eligible for assistance, according to the CRA.

Applications will be available starting August 15 at the TPD District III office, located at 3808 N 22nd St., Tampa, FL 33610, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. "We are eager to begin collecting and processing applications for the new Rehab and Renovation program," said Cedric McCray, Interim CRA Director. "This will bring a huge impact to all of our Community Redevelopment Area residents throughout the City of Tampa."

Applicants must provide personal identification, proof of income from all household members for the last 60 days, recent bank and utility statements, a current mortgage statement (if applicable), and a copy of the current homeowner's insurance policy.

Additionally, the City of Tampa will host a processing workshop on August 17 at 2555 E. Hanna Ave., Tampa, FL 33610, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., where residents can receive assistance with their applications and learn more about the program.

Interested media can schedule an interview with Interim CRA Director Cedric McCray on August 13 or 14 by contacting Jennifer Holton or emailing media@tampagov.net.
