    Hurricane Milton prompts safety warnings in Boynton Beach

    BOYNTON BEACH, Florida — Residents of Boynton Beach are being urged to prepare for Hurricane Milton, which is expected to bring heavy rain, strong winds, and potential power outages. The Boynton Beach Police Department advises staying home during the storm and exercising caution at intersections with traffic light outages.The department emphasizes treating intersections with non-functioning lights as four-way stops. For flashing red lights, drivers should come to a complete stop and proceed only when safe. At flashing yellow lights, motorists should slow down and proceed with caution, ready to stop if necessary. Any intersection outages should be reported to the non-emergency number at 561-732-8116, according to a press release from the Boynton Beach Police Department. Residents are encouraged to stay safe and alert during the storm.
