Insights from a cost of living report by bill payment company Doxo reveal that households in Myrtle Beach spend 16% less on routine bills than the national average.

However, when the report examined common bills as a percentage of income, it found that Myrtle Beach households spend 35% of their income on bills on average — 2% above the national average.

On average, American households spend $25,513 annually on essential household bills, according to the report. In contrast, Myrtle Beach households spend an average of $21,480 on common bills annually, which comes out to $1,790 a month.
