MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) — A crash near a Walmart Neighborhood Market in Myrtle Beach over the weekend led to a Georgia fugitive’s arrest, according to a police report obtained by News13.

Clifton Earl Coley Jr., 64, was charged with fugitive from justice. He was wanted for failure to appear in Dekalb County, Georgia, with the original offense of aggravated assault against law enforcement.

Myrtle Beach police responded Sunday to the Walmart at 1705 S. Kings Highway for a crash on private property, according to the report. After identifying Coley, the officer learned he had a full extradition warrant out of Dekalb County.

Coley was booked into the Myrtle Beach Detention Center, where he will stay until he is extradited back to Georgia, the report said.
