Myrtle Beach State Park pier reopens after repairs

HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — The popular fishing pier at Myrtle Beach State Park reopened Tuesday morning after being closed for repairs for nearly a month.

“It’s a Terrific Tuesday at MBSP!” park officials said in a post on X, formerly Twitter . “We can all finally enjoy a walk to the end of the pier!! Repairs are complete and the entire pier is open!”

The pier was closed in late June to allow crews to repair damage from a storm late last year that resulted in the end of the pier being blocked off for several months. At the time, officials said it would reopen in three weeks.
