Olympic Gold Medalist Bianca Knight Inducted as Honorary Member of Sigma Gamma Rho
At the 60th International Biennial Boule in Houston this weekend, Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. proudly inducted Bianca Knight as an Honorary Member. Bianca Knight is a former track and field athlete renowned for her exceptional performance in the 100 and 200 meters. At the 2012 Summer Olympics, Knight was a key member of the U.S. 4×100 meters relay team that won a gold medal and set a new world record, breaking a 27-year-old record in the process. Born in Pearl, Mississippi, Knight’s early involvement in track and field from the age of 11 was instrumental in building her confidence and shaping her aspirations. Her commitment to grassroots programming and youth development is a central focus of her work with the Bianca Knight Foundation.
