ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Police arrested Vanessa Sweet, 65, for allegedly attacking two different nurses at two separate times on the same day.

On August 14, officers went to Swedish American Hospital for an aggravated battery call. The nurse told officials Sweet was placed on an involuntary admission form at the hospital.

A witness said they both were trying to get blood work from Sweet when she refused and tried to leave, according to authorities.

The nurse then blocked the door and the suspect slapped her in the face, the witness told police.

Sweet admitted to officials under her Miranda Rights she slapped the nurse. She was then placed on hospital hold to receive treatment.

Hours later, officers responded again for another battery call involving the suspect.

A different nurse told authorities Sweet hit her multiple times after denying medication.

Sweet is being charged with two charges of aggravated battery to a nurse.
