    About cucumbers

Cucumbers are fruits of the Cucurbitaceae, a creeping plant in the gourd family. Their nutritional value is quite low, but their flavor makes them a popular addition to salads and other dishes.

According to Britannica , cucumber plants are, “susceptible to a number of bacterial and fungal diseases, including downy mildew, anthracnose, and Fusarium wilt.” They can become bitter if they’re not watered evenly.
