STEPHENSON COUNTY, Ill. (WTVO) — A 22-year-old man is dead after becoming pinned beneath a tractor in rural Stephenson County.

According to police, deputies were called to S. Kent Road and W. Kempel Road around 8:50 a.m. Sunday morning for a report of an overturned tractor and a person trapped beneath it.

Authorities said the orange Allis-Chalmers tractor entered the ditch west of S. Kent Road and rolled down the embankment, pinning the operator, Jacob Green, of Kent, beneath it.

Authorities said Green was found dead at the scene, and the crash was believed to have happened sometime in the early morning hours.
