JANESVILLE, Wis. (WTVO) — A Janesville family of four is displaced due to a house fire.

On August 23, around 2 p.m., the Janesville Fire Department was dispatched to the 800 block of West Holmes Street and arrived to see smoke coming from the attic.

The fire was located in a second-story bedroom and extinguished with a hose. Janesville Fire confined the fire to the room and attic.

The family who resided in the house evacuated and was not injured.

They were displaced due to the estimated $75,000 in damages, but the American Red Cross is assisting them with temporary housing.
