    40-year-old man shot during apparent robbery on 15th Avenue

    ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — A 40-year-old shooting victim told police he was approached by three masked men who robbed and shot him early Friday morning.

    According to Rockford Police, the victim arrived at a local hospital around 12:58 a.m. suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

    He told officers he was somewhere near the 500 block of 15th Avenue when the three men approached and demanded his belongings at gunpoint.

    After he gave them his belongings, they shot him, the victim said.

    Authorities said the man was expected to survive his injuries.

    No arrests have been announced.
