Rockford men allegedly going to commit Chicago burglary, one is accused of selling fentanyl

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Police arrested Ivory Holland, 29, and Kendrick Bell, 26, for allegedly planning a burglary among other charges.

Rockford Police learned Holland, Bell and James Mills, 36, were planning a home invasion in the 4000 block of West Monroe in Chicago, according to court records.

Officials took both suspects into custody after initially finding them at the Mobil gas station at 8061 East State Street fueling a gray Ford Fusion and pursuing them on foot, reports said.

On September 4, around 9:52 a.m., the RPD Narcotics Unit searched Holland’s residence in the 6800 block of Garret Lane. The unit found fentanyl, cocaine, MDMA pills, digital scales and other various items to make and sell narcotics, according to court documents.

Holland admitted in a police interview the drugs found were his and he intended to participate in the home invasion.

Holland is charged with the delivery of fentanyl, cocaine, and ecstasy. He is also charged with conspiracy to commit robbery, residential burglary and home invasion.

Bell is charged with possession of a controlled substance and conspiracy to commit robbery, residential burglary as well as home invasion.
