    Beloit is offering a new roof replacement program

    BELOIT, Wis. (WTVO) — The City of Beloit is looking to bring the necessary resources to improve homeowners, starting with a roof replacement program.

    The city has taken $500,000 of the tax increment district housing fund for the program. Homeowners at 80% or below the county’s median income can apply for the forgivable loan program to replace their roofs.

    The terms of the forgivable loan will be $15,000 offered at 1/60th per month over 5 years with a 0% interest rate.

    To apply a homeowner must have a property in the City of Beloit, the property must be occupied and the owner must be up to date on any taxes owed.

    Someone looking to apply also must be income-eligible according to this chart:

    The program aims to improve aged housing stock in neighborhoods along with helping homeowners replace deteriorating roofs.

    sounds like a good program but will it cost taxpayers thousands of dollars Diane Hendricks has got to be behind this so if she is behind us hopefully she'll save the people Beloit thousands of dollars. so instead of stealing land maybe it's a helping hand to save some houses under Diane Hendricks why not check into it it might be beneficial
