Rockford’s Twisted Crypt haunted house set to open this week

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Twisted Crypt Haunted House is returning for its 11th year in Rockford and is set to open its doors this weekend.

The annual Halloween spookhouse will open for the season on Friday, September 13th, at its location at 5420 E. State Street.

Twisted Crypt Haunted House was awarded a “TOP TEN Illinois Haunted House” by Hauntedillinois.com in 2016, 2019, 2021, and 2023.

The haunt promises “10,000 square feet of indoor mystery and chaos. Sights, sounds, smells, and members of ‘The Family’ lurking around every corner.”

Tickets are $20 for general admission, and although there is no age restrictions, the attraction is recommended for ages 13 and over.

Twisted Crypt will be open Friday and Saturdays from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. through October, then adding Sundays from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. For a full schedule, click here .

Locally owned and operated, Twisted Crypt Productions was founded by Peter Dunn and Matt Johnson in 2013.
