17-year-old girl charged with DUI after Ogle County crash

ROCHELLE, Ill. (WTVO) — A 17-year-old girl faces Driving Under the Influence and other charges after causing a crash in Rochelle on Saturday.

According to the Ogle County Sheriff’s Office, the driver went off the road in the 11000 block of E. Fisher Road around 5:04 a.m. on September 7th and struck a mailbox and a cement culvert.

The girl was treated for minor injuries at Rochelle Community Hospital and then released to a parent.

She was charged with DUI, improper lane usage, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, and illegal transportation of alcohol.
