Edge Community Fellowship and Goodwill host 2nd annual clothing giveaway

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Rockford residents are getting support at a free clothing giveaway.

Today, Edge Community Fellowship joined forces with Goodwill to host the event. The clothes, household items and hot dogs are being given out all free of charge.

Members of Goodwill were also there to provide information about the services they provide. The event is still going on at 2000 Kilburn Avenue until 6 p.m. if anyone still needs support.

“It’s been a great reception. We got people coming, and coming, and coming. And we’re gonna be here until 6 PM. Our hope and prayer and goal is that everything is given away,” said Edge Community Fellowship Pastor Calvin Davis. “Every shirt, every dress, every pair of shoes, every household item. We want to give it all away. And the ultimate goal is always to put a smile on somebody’s face.”

Edge Community Fellowship said they hope to continue to grow and serve the community.
