Blood test still pending in case of accused Rockford spree killer

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) – A blood test to show whether accused Rockford spree killer Christian Soto smoked laced marijuana before the attacks is still pending.

Attorneys in the case agreed during a Sept. 13 hearing that blood drawn from Soto after he allegedly killed four people on March 27 may be consumed for testing at SSM SLU Care Forensic Toxicology Lab.

Soto, 22, declined to have an expert witness present during the testing process, records show.

According to a police report, Soto told detectives that he fatally stabbed three victims before beating a 15-year-old girl to death with a softball bat. Seven other people were wounded.

Soto told police that marijuana he claims he smoked with one of his victims before the attacks may have been laced with another drug that made him paranoid. A test of his urine came back negative for drugs, according to court documents.

Soto is due back in court on Nov. 1.

I do believe that he was suffering from psychosis during that, my own kid was laced and suffered severe psychosis from it. Rockford hospitals suck for mental health issues
