ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — No traffic will be allowed through Broadway between 6th and 7th streets starting September 17th.

Today, the Water Division will start repairs to water service lines in that area.

Proper traffic controls and detours will be in place, and citizens are encouraged to use
an alternate route and drivers should use extreme caution if they are near the work zone.

Residents near the area will be notified if their water is shut off by information hung on their door.

The repairs are expected to be complete in one to three days, according to the city of Rockford.

if anyone has questions call the Public Works, Water Maintenance Division at 779-348-7153.
