ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — The City of Rockford’s Water Division will be closing down all southbound traffic at King Street and Ridge Avenue on September 26th.

Traffic controls will be in place and drivers should use extreme caution when near the work zone. Citizens are encouraged to use alternate routes to avoid the closure.

Water in the 1200 block of Ridge Avenue may shut off for repairs. All residents will be notified through information hung on their front door.

The repairs will take one to three business days.

Any questions should be referred to the city water maintenance division at (779) 348-7153.
