(WTVO) — Illinois Tollway is partnering up with State Senator Dave Syverson and State Representative Joe Sosnowski to help drivers update their I-Passes.

The state is moving away from using the plastic responders of the past and to new sticker tags.

Motorists can go to Harvard Illinois’ village hall at 201 West Diggins Street on September 17th from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. On September 26th, between the same times mentioned before, drivers are welcome to the Community Building Complex of Boone County in Belvidere at 111 West First Street.

Participants must bring their driver’s license and license plate number.

Officials will be there to walk motorists through the process without disrupting their I-Pass account activity.

Once the sticker is activated, it can be used on the Illinois Tollway and other EZ Pass roadways in other states within 24 hours. There will be no deposit for the sticker tag and the $10 transponder deposit will transfer to the new account when it is activated.

They should look to actually end the tolls as the roads are paid for long ago! No?
