JANESVILLE, Wis. (WTVO) — Police in Janesville are investigating the deaths of two men who were found dead at the same location, days apart.

According to Janesville Police, the first man was found beneath a gazebo in the 1000 block of North Washington Street, at the entrance to the Kiwinis Trail hiking path.

The man was discovered by an acquaintance around 3:45 p.m. October 6th and was pronounced dead at the scene.

On Tuesday, October 8th, around 11:15 a.m., officers were called to the same location. A bystander reported finding another man, unresponsive. Despite life-saving efforts, that man was also declared to be dead at the scene.

Investigators said there were no signs of trauma or foul play on either of the bodies, and police said there is no danger to the public.

The identities of both men are being withheld by authorities pending the notification of family.

No foul play? Only a couple days after being questioned by police about body #1, body #2 is found dead in the same place. Autopsies should be done on both. We could have a serial killer targeting the homeless while they sleep.
