Oregon gets a visit from AEM to celebrate local companies

OREGON, Ill. (WTVO) — Oregon was visited by the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) to celebrate National Manufacturing Month.

AEM’s “manufacturing express” stops included Etnyre International and Woods Equipment.

Etnyre Manufactures machines for road construction and repair. They have been members of the AEM for over 100 years.

“Oh, it’s very exciting. It’s very nice that they came and they are recognizing the workers,” said Etnyre International Board Member Don Etnyre. “The work we do here is hard work, and it’s just nice to take a moment and kind of recognize that this is really valuable work.”

Along with celebrating workers, AEM also discussed state and federal policies directly impacting manufacturing companies in Illinois.
