WASHINGTON D.C. (WTVO) — If you want your Christmas gifts to arrive before December 25th, the U.S. Postal Service has announced its recommended mailing and shipping dates for 2024.

According to USPS, if you are sending packages to addresses within the contiguous United States, you’ll need to have them in the mail by the following dates:

    • USPS Ground Advantage service: Dec. 18
    • First-Class Mail service: Dec. 18
    • Priority Mail service: Dec. 19
    • Priority Mail Express service: Dec. 21

If you’re sending to addresses in Alaska and Hawaii:

    • USPS Ground Advantage service: Dec. 16
    • First-Class Mail service: Dec. 18
    • Priority Mail service: Dec. 19
    • Priority Mail Express service: Dec. 20

As always, the USPS says the earlier you send, the better: don’t delay!
