ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Rockford Police arrested Ronnie Walker, 46, for distributing look-alike substances among other charges.

On October 7, around 8:49 p.m., officials were on patrol and saw Walker in front of a Circle K located at 1030 East State Street drinking a beer. The suspect told authorities his name was “Ronnie Walter”.

Police searched Walker, figured out his real name, found drug paraphernalia and learned Walker had a warrant out for his arrest.

During the search, authorities also found a powdery white substance in plastic bags that tested negative for narcotics.

Walker told police the powder was baking soda and he was not using it to sell as narcotics.

Walker is charged with obstructing identification, possession of drug paraphernalia and manufacturing and distributing look-alike substances.
