ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Last week, a Winnebago County Judge sentenced Vance Patterson, 54, to spend 15 years in prison for selling “large amounts of cocaine” in the Rockford area.

According to the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Department, police had been receiving numerous complaints about Patterson selling drugs at various locations in the Rockford area between December 23rd, 2020, and January 6th, 2021.

Detectives with the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Narcotics Unit purchased cocaine from Patterson during the investigation, authorities said.

Winnebago County State’s Attorney J. Hanley said that on October 11th, 2024, Patterson was sentenced to prison, plus an additional 18 months of supervised release.
