SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WTVO) — Illinois residents will soon be able to renew their driver’s licenses or obtain vehicle stickers at “Fast-Lane” kiosks located at participating retail stores.

According to Illinois Secretary of State Alexi Giannoulias, the DMV kiosks will give residents the ability to print vehicle registration renewals and plate stickers on site, or a temporary document to use while their driver’s license or state IDs are mailed to them.

The “Fast-Lane” kiosks will be initially rolled out as part of a pilot program, deployed at 15 locations including Chicago, the suburbs, and downstate Mariano’s, Jewel-Osco, Kroger, and Meijer grocery stores.

Illinois policies and laws are awful. Just one more reason to move out of the Mid-West.
