    Missing since 2011, Timmothy Pitzen turns 20 on Oct. 18

    ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) – A missing person with Rockford ties was born on this day 20 years ago.

    Timmothy Pitzen, who was 6 years old when he was last seen, was born on Oct. 18, 2004, in Aurora, Illinois.

    Pitzen was last seen on May, 11, 2011. That’s the day his mother Amy Fry-Pitzen, unexpectedly picked him up from Greenman Elementary School in Aurora. She the took him to Key Lime Cove in Gurnee and a water park in Wisconsin Dells. Amy was also seen at the Sullivan’s grocery store in Winnebago.

    Fry-Pitzen was found dead on May 14, 2011, in a Rockford hotel room, alongside a note that claimed her son was with people who “love him,” and that, “you will never find him.”

    Timmothy Pitzen has never been located and remains a missing person. Anyone with information is urged to call police.
