Guilford grinds out narrow win against East to become eligible for the playoffs

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO/WQRF) — After missing out on the playoffs last year, the Guilford Vikings could very well be back in them this year. They became eligible Friday night by defeating Rockford East and winning their fifth game.

14-10 was the final score in this grind-it-out battle. Guilford improves its record to 5-3. The Vikings can erase all doubts about the postseason by winning at Boylan next Friday night.

East is 3-5 and now out of the running for a playoff berth.
