Man arrested for violating protective order in Los Fresnos
LOS FRESNOS, Texas — Cameron County Sheriff Deputies arrested a man Wednesday for violating a protective order, according to the Cameron County Sheriff's Office. Deputies responded to a residence on the 31000 block of FM 2893 after a concerned citizen reported that 38-year-old Hijinio Moreno was present with the protected person under the order. Upon arrival, deputies confirmed the emergency protective order was still in effect and detained Moreno, who was found to be within 200 feet of the protected individual.
Fort Worth officer dies in line of duty after being struck by vehicle
FORT WORTH, Texas — The Fort Worth Police Department is mourning the loss of Sgt. Billy Randolph, who died in the line of duty on the morning of August 12, 2024. Sgt. Randolph, #2797, was working a motor vehicle accident on I-35 Southbound near Sycamore School Road when he was struck by a vehicle that drove through the accident scene. The driver of the vehicle is in police custody, according to the Fort Worth Police Department.

Four arrested for allegedly stealing generators from Tractor Supply
ENNIS, Texas — Four men were arrested Tuesday after allegedly stealing generators from a Tractor Supply store, according to the Ennis Police Department. The incident occurred on July 30, 2024, in the early afternoon when a Tractor Supply employee reported the theft and provided a vehicle description and partial plate number. The Ennis Police Department Communications Division alerted officers that a black minivan was heading northbound on the service road of IH-45. An Ennis Police Officer quickly located the suspect vehicle, and upon initiating a traffic stop, two of the four suspects fled on foot. The officer detained the two remaining suspects and found the stolen generators in the vehicle.
