KINGSTON, Oklahoma — Authorities seized thousands of marijuana plants and processed marijuana during a raid on an unregistered grow operation in Kingston.On Friday, July 19, 2024, the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics' (OBN) Marijuana Enforcement Teams (MET) executed a search warrant at 17368 Fobb Bottom Road. The operation resulted in the seizure of 5,212 marijuana plants and 178 pounds of processed marijuana, according to a press release from the OBN. HOUSTON, Texas — Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a juvenile male and the wounding of another male at 4001 Corder Street about 1:25 p.m. last Friday. AUSTIN, Texas — A Bastrop man was sentenced in federal court to 300 months in prison for sexual exploitation of a minor. According to court documents, 41-year-old Stuart Mitchell Pieper, of Bastrop, Texas, was a member of a private chat group on a social networking application. In July and August 2023, Pieper used the account to post multiple images depicting the sexual abuse of children. Pieper also discussed, in the group chat and in direct messages, how he was “grooming” female children for sexual activity.
