Fabian Richard Lewis, a 56-year-old, was arrested in December 2020 for sexual assault. Officers from the Patrol Division, Criminal Investigation Division, Identification Division, and the Digital Forensics Laboratory collaborated on the investigation. Lewis was found guilty by a jury on July 16, 2024, in the Galveston County 212th Judicial District Court.

HOBART, Oklahoma - Two daycare workers in Hobart have been charged with child neglect following an investigation by the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI).On April 23, 2024, the Kiowa County District Attorney's Office requested the OSBI to investigate allegations of child neglect at the Community Action Development Corporation Head Start in Hobart. Based on the information and evidence gathered by OSBI special agents, an arrest warrant was issued for 40-year-old Pamela Siesser and 43-year-old Crystal Edmundson, both employees at the Head Start facility.On July 24, Siesser and Edmundson turned themselves into the Kiowa County Sheriff's Office and were booked into Kiowa County Jail, according to the OSBI. MIDLOTHIAN, Texas - A 48-year-old man was pronounced dead after being struck by a pickup truck on East State Highway 287, according to the Midlothian Police Department.The incident occurred on July 25, 2024, at 12:21 PM when multiple 911 callers reported a pedestrian had been hit by a vehicle. Responding officers found the man lying on the roadway and observed a gray Ford F-150 with significant front-end damage, indicative of a collision.Witnesses, including the driver of the F-150, stated that the pedestrian had been standing in the center median near the Midlothian Parkway bridge before suddenly jumping in front of the oncoming truck. Constables apprehend aggravated robbery suspects in Harris County

Some individuals left the location and reconvened in another parking lot nearby.HPD Air Support officers in a helicopter located a suspect retrieving firearms and alerted Midwest Patrol Crime Suppression Team officers that the individuals were in a vehicle and returning to the scene of the fight. Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and located four guns, including an assault rifle-style weapon inside the vehicle.Officers seized the weapons, detained the individuals, and consulted the Harris County District Attorney's office. As a result, three suspects were arrested and charged with unlawful carrying of weapons, according to the Houston Police Department.

Houston police investigate fatal multi-vehicle crash on North Freeway
HOUSTON, Texas - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred at 8300 North Freeway (North Interstate Highway 45) around 4:45 a.m. today. The identity of the deceased 48-year-old male is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant L. Ross and Officer T. Riley reported that the drivers of a white Dodge van, a silver Toyota Highlander, and a maroon Toyota Sequoia were stopped on the northbound lanes of the freeway after being involved in a crash. The driver of a silver Ford Explorer, also traveling northbound, then struck the rear of the Toyota Sequoia, pinning the victim between the Toyota Highlander and Toyota Sequoia. A silver Chevrolet Malibu then struck the side of the Toyota Sequoia and a black Chevrolet Malibu. A Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck also struck the rear of the black Malibu. The driver of the Toyota Highlander was pronounced deceased at the scene by Houston Fire Department paramedics. The drivers of all vehicles involved remained at the scene.
