SAN ANTONIO, Texas - A 45-year-old man from Fredericksburg was arrested in San Antonio following a narcotics investigation by Gillespie County Sheriff's Office and Texas DPS.The arrest occurred on Friday, July 12, 2024, as part of a follow-up investigation stemming from a search warrant executed on July 3, 2024, at a residence in the 200 block of Wild Horse Trail, according to the Gillespie County Sheriff's Office. Investigators tracked the supplier of the narcotics to a residence in the northeast area of San Antonio.The man was arrested on an outstanding Gillespie County warrant for Manufacture or Delivery of a Controlled Substance in Penalty Group 1 >= 1 gram < 4 grams. Suspects have been using ladders, fences, and vehicle roofs or truck beds to access the lines, employing various saws to cut them. They are also known to move ladders down the road for future use.Residents are urged to stay vigilant and report any suspicious activity, especially around utility lines in fields, trails, and isolated utility right-of-way passages. "Your awareness and vigilance play a crucial role in preventing these thefts," stated the North Richland Hills Police Department. According to court documents, 43-year-old Sanjay Kumar, of Bihar, India, and his co-conspirators allegedly arranged for the sale and shipment of fake versions of oncology pharmaceuticals, including Keytruda, to individuals in the United States. Genuine Keytruda, a cancer immunotherapy, is approved in the U.S. for 19 different indications, including melanoma, lung cancer, and breast cancer. Houston police investigate fatal multi-vehicle crash on North Freeway
HOUSTON, Texas - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred at 8300 North Freeway (North Interstate Highway 45) around 4:45 a.m. today. The identity of the deceased 48-year-old male is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant L. Ross and Officer T. Riley reported that the drivers of a white Dodge van, a silver Toyota Highlander, and a maroon Toyota Sequoia were stopped on the northbound lanes of the freeway after being involved in a crash. The driver of a silver Ford Explorer, also traveling northbound, then struck the rear of the Toyota Sequoia, pinning the victim between the Toyota Highlander and Toyota Sequoia. A silver Chevrolet Malibu then struck the side of the Toyota Sequoia and a black Chevrolet Malibu. A Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck also struck the rear of the black Malibu. The driver of the Toyota Highlander was pronounced deceased at the scene by Houston Fire Department paramedics. The drivers of all vehicles involved remained at the scene. Dallas police shoot suspect after stolen vehicle rams squad cars
DALLAS, Texas - A suspect was shot by police after ramming two squad cars with a stolen vehicle on July 25, 2024, according to the Dallas Police Department. At approximately 1:20 p.m., undercover officers in the 9600 block of Golf Lakes Trail received a Flock camera alert for a stolen vehicle. Covert officers located the vehicle inside an apartment complex and called for uniformed officers.
