Layton man killed in overnight police-involved shooting
LAYTON, Utah (ABC4) — One man is dead following a police-involved shooting in Layton on Wednesday evening, Aug. 21. Lt. Travis Lyman with the Layton Police Department said a woman called dispatch just before 10 p.m., reporting her husband was in distress, threatening to harm himself, and was armed with a gun. Police responded to the neighborhood near Legacy Park and was able to get the woman safely out of the home.
