Grantsville to host last summer family event
To end their Summer of Fun activities, Grantsville City officials plan to host a back-to-school barbeque and concert this weekend. The barbeque, sponsored by the Grantsville Communities that Care group, will take place from 5-7 p.m. at Cherry Street Park, located at 115 Cherry Street. During the barbeque, which is open to all school-aged children and their families, hot dogs, chips, and fruit will be served, according to Jolene Jenkins, one of the organizers of the Summer of Fun events. There will also be bounce houses, popsicles, and several resource groups in attendance, including local school PTAs, Switchpoint, Safe UT, South Valley Services, and the Multicultural Counseling Center.

Utah State’s Wyatt Bowles and Jalen Royals Selected to 2025 Senior Bowl Watch List
LOGAN, Utah — Utah State football seniors Wyatt Bowles and Jalen Royals have been named to the 2025 Senior Bowl Watch List. In addition to being named to the Senior Bowl watch list, Royals, a 6-foot, 195-pound wide receiver from Powder Springs, Georgia, (Hillgrove HS/Georgia Military College), has also been named to watch lists for the Biletnikoff Award (nation's best wide receiver) and the Maxwell Award (nation's top college football player). Royals was also named a preseason Phil Steele Fourth Team All-American and a HERO Sports Preseason Group of Five First Team All-American, in addition to being named to the preseason Mountain West all-conference team by Phil Steele (first team), Athlon Sports (first team) and MW media. Snow College is set to address a critical healthcare need in central Utah by developing a new respiratory therapy program, thanks to a significant grant from Talent Ready Utah. The program will receive an initial funding boost of nearly $250,000, which will be used to establish a state-of-the-art respiratory therapy lab equipped to train students in diagnosing and treating respiratory disorders. In addition to this initial grant, the program will receive ongoing support of $150,000 annually to ensure its growth and sustainability.
